The only Ardent Disciple of Ustad Bismillah Khan…!!! – Pandit SHAILESH BHAGWAT

Stimulation to ones brain and refreshing mind is music. Music can be in any form, either listening to it, playing an instrument or just murmuring a piece of it.

The music helps me function. It helps me with studies and sports. Music is the universal language. It is impossible to create drama, opera, and ballet without music. What would world be without music? Without music the world would be a quiet place. It is a reminder of how things once were an indication of how things are, and a view of where society is headed. Music is a reflection of the society. Music can be a way to deliver messages, a poetic medium, a fine art, or a source of entertainment. No matter what it is used for, music is the perfect art and our lives would be that much less complete without it.

What Is A Shehnai…?

The most popular, but rarely played instrument is the shehnai. shehnai is a double-reed conical oboe of north India called as a reed — and a slightly widening bell at the bottom. it is made of wood, comprising of four parts. The first part is the wooden body (naad), second consists of a flaring metal bell attached to the bottom of the instrument, a metallic tube (nalli) and a reed. The metallic bell measures about 12–20 inches (30–50 cm) in length, with seven keyless finger holes along its body. Possessing a 1+1/2 octave range, The Shehnai is a difficult instrument to play, as the musician must master a wide range of finely nuanced embouchure and fingering techniques. The Shehnai takes considerable skill to master because mouth-control & wind-control, along with finger dexterity and how the mouth is held, requires practice.

When asked about the religion bias of Ustad Bismillah Khan, Pt Bhagwat said, “He had no religion bias whereas he could only see how dedicated a person is towards achieving his goal and then accepted Shailesh as his student.” because…., – music knows no religion because music itself is a religion in its own authority.

I started playing since the age of 13

Playing this instrument was in my blood and no one in my family was into music. God has given me this talent and need to utilize it and do something in life.

Music Is Basically A Shortest Cut To Reach GOD And I Devote It To God. The More You Get Engrossed In Playing, Faster Will You Reach GOD. Shehnai Should Be Played In Such A Way That, People Must Start Swaying To Its Tunes.

5. How many scales does shehnai have and is it necessary that you should have the knowledge of songs and singing?

Shehnai Has 1 And Half Scales And The Scales Vary According To The Sizes. I Have Done A Lot Of Study Myself But I Have Nothing In Written But In My Head. No One Has Thought Me Sa Re Ga Ma Of Music But Learnt It Myself With Lot Of Practice. Hence It Is Said, “Practice Makes Man Perfect.”

I Was Initially Taught The Basics Of Shehnai & Music By Pandit Aurangabadkar & Pandit Maruti Patil Of Thane.

  • For Maharashtra. I Just Want To Give A Suggestion To The Government Of Maharashtra To Come Up With An OFFICIALIZED STATE ANTHEM. 11.  Why Do You Say “Let Success Go Into Your Books Not Into Your Head” Can You Explain That?

If The Success Goes Into Your Head, You Will Not Wish To Go Ahead And This Is Where Ego Arises. Hence Let The Success Be Where It Is….., And Always Aim High, If You Don’t Achieve Your Aim Try To Reach To It.

TV BOOM OR BANE

TV!!!! It’s an addiction on children in today’s world. Now a day there are hardly a few who don’t have a TV set at their home.  It is a good entertainment for all ages. But there are advantages and disadvantages also.

TV is the major distraction in the life of a student today. These days’ students find an easy way to spend time by watching TV and are less interested in reading. In fact, reading is becoming a thing of the past. It also causes harm to the eyes and ears. Concentration power of a child decreases by watching TV. Watching TV involves only eyes and ears. The students are not taking part in outdoor activities because of TV. Watching TV also makes them couch potatoes. Confined to the ac rooms watching TV is making their health and mind suffer. They are getting deprived of fresh air and atmosphere… Watching TV hours should be restricted to educational programmes like discovery and national geographic. One or two entertaining programmes in a week are sufficient for a child.
So we must make an effort to restrict TV watching. Nowadays there are hundreds of television channels. … Also elderly people and people who are housebound can benefit from television a lot. For those who are ill or housebound, television provides them with company while they are alone, whereas others just enjoy the entertainment factor.

Television must be the most popular past times for human beings today. Just about everyone watches televisions and just about every house has a television set. Everyday and night people glue the eyes on the sets watching their shows. So television exerts a very large influence on us.
The uses of television are many. As a means of communication, there is virtually nothing to match it. With it we can watch a football match thousands of miles away by the mere flick of a switch, in full colour and high fidelity sound. News that took months to travel from one place to another now takes just a fraction of a second, and minus the distorting factor of human messengers. The impact of this improved communication on our lives is great indeed. Used with discretion, TV can provide us with much knowledge. Used carelessly, TV can reduce us to non-thinking entities.
Via TV, manufacturers are able to reach out to the consumers more effectively. Generally, children are more interested in the advertisements. A couple of clips in between programmes are welcome breaks, but to watch clip after clip for more than five minutes at a stretch is just too much. What is worse, an advertisement clip coming on right in the middle of a program is definitely an abuse. It is like having something forced down our throats, in addition to mental jolt we feel when the continuity of the program is interrupted.
TV is an invaluable educational tool. It enables the education planners to coordinate and inform the school children about the requirements of various subjects. Elsewhere, TV is used both as a surveillance tool and an eye in inaccessible places. For example in deep sea exploration, TV is used to reach places where no man can go. Sometimes people notice a thing on a channel and try to do that.

To go into details on every use and abuse of TV would require volumes of books. Used with care, it is a boon to mankind. Used carelessly it can be a curse instead.

The show must go on!!!!!

Aam Aadmi Party, the ruling political party of Delhi, launched on 26 November 2012 came into existence following differences between the activists Arvind Kejriwal and Anna Hazare regarding whether or not to politicize the popular India against corruption movement that had been demanding a Jan Lokpal Bill since 2011.

AAP believes in a Tele Door-to-Door Campaign that is meant for those AAP supporters who cannot campaign on the ground. Recently, AAP government in Delhi introduced Lokpal bill in assembly. The draft law was cleared by the cabinet on the first day of the winter session of the Delhi legislative assembly.

AAP introduces new strategies for promoting the campaign. AAP has conceptualized of ‘Gully Prabhari’, that is a person is in-charge of a street. A person is allotted a street when he/she has to conduct the campaign. Every volunteer has been given the responsibility supervise 25 houses per neighbourhood in an attempt to win their support. The other strategy was by placing posters on Delhi autos. The AAP posters should be felt in every corner of the city without paying a penny. This overwhelmed the auto drivers and henceforth questionnaires would be given to the passengers to help the party get feedbacks on desired issues. As distributions of posters and pamphlets have been banned in Delhi Metros, the party has come up with the initiative of distributing visiting cards carrying simple messages.

Another brilliant strategy is that the party has created a team that is more popular amongst youngsters, called ‘Play for Change’ who will visit various places. Their team will all of a sudden appear in a crowded corner and enact a small play sending political messages and ask people to vote.

A different way of cost cutting affair is to manually hold the banners instead of putting it on the flyovers. The moving traffic down below gets the feel of banners being hung up whereas the fact is that they are held up by volunteers. This is again very effective on traffic crossings too. The Party is still in the process of formalizing a few more such low-cost innovations and tricks to make elections more creative and fun. Money can buy workers but it can’t make them committed volunteers.

AAP’s success lies in the vibrant but young minds that are willing to tread an extra mile in the pursuit to change a corrupt system.

A cuddle of yours says it all!!!

I was just sitting and remembered

My childhood days, I spent with you.

Laughter and cries was a mixture in me,
When you used to cuddle me

You must be old by age, but still juvenile by heart,
You were flawless in whatever you taught.

You taught me many things that a mother may fail to teach,
I remember all the prayers that you taught me to preach.

At this age, you have dazzling beauty,
Eyes that blossom like a rose,
That you smell with a delicate nose.

Your walking stick is magical
That makes the surrounding think practical.

A few days were quite alarming
When you were admitted to the infirmary,
Tears rolled down my cheeks
I wished that you once again become hale and hearty.

Prayed God for your recovery so that,
I could spend more time with you and
You could see me settled.

God heard my prayers and hope things get better in future.

Your charming face says it all,
You will always be remembered by all.

Here’s a promise to you, I will always be honest in whatever I do,
Keeping everyone happy and contented, will try to prove my best in everything I do.

I always feel that having grandparents is a real bliss
As they teach many things without expecting anything like this….

LOVE YOU LOTS AAJI!!!!

The only man who is close to his Daughter – DAD….

When you first met my mother,
There was no way to know,
That, over a period of time, I’d love you
As years would come and go.

You are always there to help,
Whatever the need may be
You have given off yourself……
And so unselfishly.

Digesting all the mistakes made by your child,
You have let go them all and allowed me to enjoy life.

I now understand the bonding between a dad and daughter,
Is so great and cheerful, motivating their daughters take risks and build self-confidence.

I am really greatful for the special times
We have shared throughout the years
Times that brought us closer
Through laughter and tears.

Knowing all my weakness
Always bailing me out of cries,

Knowing all my secret ways
My happy and sad days

Knowing all my strengths
Motivating me to new lengths

Knowing all my mistakes
Giving all my bad runs a break

Knowing who I really am
Always being sweeter than jam

Thanks for being the dad you are.

You are the fire of my eyes
The balm of my cries,
The solace of my being
The one who gives me that cozy feeling
The warmth of my smile
Always inspiring my style
To such a wonderful dad

When I go to another house,
I will remember all the ‘sanskar’ you have given me
Will not forget the days we are together since so many years…
You will always be remembered…….

CIDCO ups heat on illegal structures in Navi Mumbai

City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd (CIDCO) is acting on a warfooting against illegal constructions in Navi Mumbai. The planning authority is razing illegal structures rapidly following the recent Mumbra building collapse.

Yesterday, two under-construction structures were brought down, a ground-plus-one structure at Nerul Sector 23, and a ground-plus-two structure at Sarsole, in the same node. The structure at Nerul was, in fact, being built on Guruvarya Balaram Patil Vidyalaya’s playground plot.

U Yadav, controller of unauthorised constructions, who was present at the demolition site yesterday said, “The school never complained about their land being encroached. No one was living in the under-construction structure.

Our demolition drive against illegal structures has caught speed especially after the recent Mumbra building collapse. At most of the constructions we have noticed that the quality of materials, which were used, have been extremely sub-standard.”

Rachna Gadki, a student of the school who was also present at the demolition site said that the construction of the building began a month ago. “I was wondering why was our school’s playground land being encroached upon,” she added. The drive caught speed in May and demolitions were seen taking place in nodes like Ghansoli, Airoli, Koparkhairane and Uran. Sources claimed that demolition of 18 illegal structures have been planned in May, nine of which are between Kharghar to Uran. The other nine are from Belapur to Digha node.

“Recently, CIDCO even sent out letters to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) and MSEDC, asking them to disconnect electricity and water connections of illegal structures under the signature of the newly-appointed Managing Director Sanjay Bhatia,” said an official. “Its better that people check if a building has the required occupancy and commencement certificates before buying.”

These are the committee members who will take charge along with some of the executive officers at Navi Mumbai.  The main motive behind forming this committee was to teach people about anti corruption and make the youth aware about the pros and cons of the same. The other reason for opening the office was to give better service to the civilians at the local area. This will help them to coordinate with each and every social activity that they can organize in the local area of Navi Mumbai.

Nilesh Rane said, “Committee will happen for the good. The basic aim of this is to maintain the office through and it is important to take the burden of handling such a big office that fights against corruption.” There can be no action without complaint.
